Cokesbury discontinues Iowa's Community Resource Consultant position

August 01, 2019

Due to the volatile retail landscape and the responsibility of The United Methodist Publishing House to keep costs in line with revenues, Cokesbury has made the difficult decision to cease several Community Resource Consultant (CRC) positions including in the Iowa Annual Conference. Cokesbury continuously adjusts its staffing and programs as it assures effectiveness and financial sustainability. In this case that requires the elimination of the Iowa Annual Conference CRC position so ably carried out by the Rev. Bob Dean.

Cokesbury encourages all Iowa churches and individuals to make full use of the website; the popular live chat feature at with experienced resource consultants, and the Cokesbury call center (844) 291-7803 for assistance in gaining information and selecting resources for their ministries.

“We are very grateful to Bob, a retired clergy member of the Iowa Annual Conference, who has served as our Iowa Cokesbury Resource Consultant since 2015,” said Iowa Resident Bishop, Laurie Haller. “Bob has been present at many conference events, with a helpful and practical selection of books, study guides, and resources to enhance the ministries of our congregations. When you see Bob, please thank him for his faithful service in this role.”
